This is the house where I spent my childhood. The top left window was my bedroom.Dad was ahead of his time, this would have been one of the first DIY stores in the fifty’s!!He converted this house into a business property, and opened a builders mercahants shop. One of my tasks would have been to put out all the display goods outside Back boilers, and the dreaded all night burner fireplaces!

The shop also served as an outlet for his building business
